Powering Performances at the BNZ Theatre
The BNZ Theatre, part of the $125 million Waikato Regional Theatre development, is one of New Zealand’s most significant performing arts projects, delivering a world-class cultural venue in the heart of Hamilton. The 8,700m2 facility features a state-of-the-art 1,300-seat theatre designed to support theatrical, orchestral and concert performances, alongside function spaces, commercial tenancies and public gathering areas.
Feisst Electrical was engaged as part of the wider Feisst Group delivery team, working alongside Structured Technologies and Select Alarms to provide the critical electrical, technology and security infrastructure required to support this highly specialised theatre environment.
The project required extensive coordination across multiple trades, specialist contractors and installation stages, with works spanning more than 18 months. Feisst Electrical played a key role from early site establishment, including underground ducting and tower crane power supplies, through to the delivery of the permanent electrical infrastructure serving the completed facility.
