Fonterra Solar
Since 2020, Feisst Electrical have worked alongside Fonterra to install solar systems across the Farm Source store network. To date, 18 stores have been upgraded and there are more to come.
The project is aligned with Fonterra’s objective to lower admissions, targeting net carbon zero by 2050. So, renewable energy was not just about reducing costs, it was about reducing the company’s carbon footprint and positively impacting the environment.
Key for Feisst was Fonterra’s genuine concern for the ethical production of the solar panels, as well as an end-of-life plan for the materials.
Interesting facts about the Fonterra solar project:Through a portal, Fonterra can see how much power each store is producing in real time, with the ability to report on individual stores or with a combined view.
