IKEA Sylvia Park
Lighting up New Zealand's first IKEA
Feisst Electrical delivered the complete electrical fitout for New Zealand’s first IKEA, with seamless installations across all showrooms, the Swedish Restaurant, Market Hall, and Self-Service areas.
Working closely with Naylor Love and IKEA’s international design team, our responsibility was to bring IKEA’s high global standard of customer experience to life across the 34,000m² store.
Our scope included extensive power and lighting installations across all zones, with thousands of finely detailed components requiring precise electrical integration. This included:
- Electrical services across all IKEA showrooms
- Feature and task lighting for displays, cabinetry, and kitchen setups
- Automatic drawers, illuminated cabinets, and appliances working in demo mode
- Electrical systems for the Swedish Restaurant and Food Market
With so many showrooms (each with its own features), this project demanded precision. From automated drawers to lit display cabinetry and functioning demo appliances, every detail needed to align with IKEA’s global standards. Our team worked in multiple crews to maintain momentum, managing constant design changes and multiple daily work instructions under tight turnarounds.
Our team delivered a seamless, high-quality fitout that meets IKEA’s international standards - an achievement we’re extremely proud of!
